Scott Shepherd, At-Large

Scott was raised in San Diego, California where built a strong connection with the natural work through time spent in the ocean.  After studying adventure education in Durango, Colorado, Scott returned to San Diego and has dedicated his career to increasing equitable access to California’s public outdoor spaces.  Scott now works as a K-12 Access Project Coordinator with the California State Parks PORTS program to find new and innovative ways to engage students in outdoor and environmental learning.  Scott is excited to join the California Environmental Education Foundation and supporting the development of deep and meaningful learning experiences in, for, and about the outdoors for all Californians.
