The California Environmental Education Foundation offers its annual Teacher Institute utilizing an Action Research model to maximize collaborative learning in environmental education and place-based stewardship.
Excellence in Environmental Education (EE) Award
Each year, CEEF provides a monetary award to recognize one California student, educator, and administrator for their distinguished service and dedication in the form of projects, programs, or initiatives which advance excellence in environmental education.
Water Energy Education Alliance (WEEA)
The Water Energy Education Alliance (WEEA or Alliance) is a coalition of water, energy, and education leaders working together to build and bolster career pathways to water and energy jobs for Southern California high school students.
CEEF Support of Statewide Environmental Educator Certification Program
CEEF provided the Association for Environmental & Outdoor Education (AEOE) with early guidance and encouragement in the development of their Environmental Educator Certification Program. Once established, CEEF supplied personalized mentoring to candidates seeking their certification and continues to seek ways to support this very important EE certification program serving all of California.
CEEF Support of the California Environmental Literacy Initiative
CEEF has served as a key advisor to the California Environmental Literacy Initiative (CAELI) since its inception. Currently, three CEEF Board members participate in the statewide virtual meetings of CAELI hosted by Ten Strands and two are active members in CAELI working groups: the CAELI Equity Innovation Hub and CAELI County Office of Education, Education Innovation Hub. In addition, the founder of CEEF serves on the Ten Strands Advisory Board. CEEF applauds the work of CAELI and will continue to eagerly collaborate with Ten Strands to help achieve their goal to enhance the environmental literacy of every California student.
